McDonnell to host Easter egg hunt at Va Capitol

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Gov. Bob McDonnell and first lady Maureen McDonnell are holding the Executive Mansion Easter Egg Hunt next week.

The event kicks off around 5 p.m. on Wednesday at the state Capitol in Richmond and runs until 7 p.m.

The event is free, but attendees are encouraged to register online at http://bit.ly/14ahFc1.

The hunt will include more than 10,000 eggs. The event also will include face painting.

Guests also are being encouraged to bring unwrapped baby shower gifts for expectant military moms. The first lady will host the baby shower on June 4.
