HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) — A Pennsylvania businessman will serve as Eastern Mennonite University's first full-time graduate dean.
Fifty-one-year-old Jim Smucker's appointment is effective July 1.
Professor of graduate counseling David Glanzer has served as interim graduate dean on a part-time basis since 2009.
Smucker is president of Bird-in-Hand Corp., which has several hospitality businesses in Pennsylvania's Dutch country.
Kniss tells The Daily News-Record (http://bit.ly/ZVBU89 ) that Eastern Mennonite has six master's degree programs and there's potential for several more.
