RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Associated Press Chief of Bureau for Virginia and West Virginia Dorothy Abernathy is among the 2013 inductees into the Virginia Communications Hall of Fame.
Abernathy will be inducted April 11 at a ceremony hosted by Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Mass Communications.
Also inducted will be Richmond Times-Dispatch President and Publisher Tom Silvestri, The Martin Agency Senior Vice President and Group Creative Director Steve Bassett, Don Belt of National Geographic and The Rockbridge Advocate Editor Doug Harwood.
The Virginia Communications Hall of Fame recognizes communication professionals with exceptional careers in journalism, public relations, advertising and other media fields. This newest class will bring the total number of inductees to 145.
