SPOTSYLVANIA, Va. (AP) - A dozen cats and seven dogs died when flames swept through a single-family home in Spotsylvania County.
Fire officials tell the Free Lance-Star of Fredericksburg (http://bit.ly/w9pjV4) that no one was home Saturday when fire destroyed the home in the Lake Wilderness subdivision.
Spotsylvania Deputy Fire Chief Monty Willaford said three cats were rescued, but four more were missing.
Fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
