WASHINGTON (AP) - The State Department saidat least two Americans died in the terrorist attacks in India and more were injured. The U.S. is sending investigators to India to help unravel who is behind the bloody assaults that killed at least 150 people.

The State Department announced Friday that two Americans were killed and at least four were injured, but did not name them. An official confirms the two Americans killed were traveling with a group from the Synchronicity Foundation in Virginia. A spokeswoman from that group identified them as 58-year-old Alan Scherr and his daughter 13-year-old daughter Naomi.

The U.S. official spoke on condition of anonymity because the department was not yet publicly releasing the victims' identities.

President George W. Bush was following events Friday from the Camp David presidential retreat in Maryland, and a spokeswoman says he received a briefing Friday morning.
