SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A super load move carrying a turbine could cause traffic delays Thursday, Sept. 20.
The truck moving the turbine will start the move in Norfolk and travel to South Boston following this route through Suffolk: Route 58 westbound to Route 13/58/460 /Suffolk Bypass to Route 58 westbound to the Franklin Bypass.
The move was delayed leaving the port Thursday morning and was expected to arrive in Suffolk later than expected, at around 2:30 p.m.
Suffolk Police and certified front and rear escorts will accompany the move.
Due to the size and traveling restrictions placed on this load, traffic delays are possible in the vicinities of various structures and bridges along the route.
