BALTIMORE, Md. (WAVY/WBFF) - A Maryland father said his 7-year-old son was suspended from school for chewing his breakfast pastry into what appeared to be a gun.
According to WBFF in Baltimore, the child was suspended for two days.
"It was already a rectangle and I just kept on biting it and biting it and tore off the top and it kind of looked like a gun but it wasn't," 7-year-old Josh Welch told WBFF.
Josh admits he was trying to create a masterpiece out of the breakfast pastry.
"All I was trying to do was turn it into a mountain but... it didn't look like a mountain really," Josh said. "[My teacher] was pretty mad and I think I was in big trouble."
School officials have not commented on the case citing privacy reasons and Josh's dad admits his son said he made "bang bang" noises while holding the Pop Tart.
