JARVISBURG, N.C. (WAVY) - Two vehicles traveling south on Route 158 struck and killed a horse in the road.
According to Trooper S. Bryant with the N.C. Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 6 a.m. in Jarvisburg, N.C. near Buster Newbern Road.
Bryant said the horse belonged to someone and had gotten loose.
No one was hurt.
The southbound side of Route 158 was stopped for the accident, but traffic was still flowing.
There are no charges pending.
