WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - Members of a traveling Occupy protest that started in Washington, D.C., are talking in Greensboro about their plans for next year.

The Winston-Salem Journal reported that members of Walkupy will hold a news conference at 3 p.m. Thursday at the International Civil Rights Museum in Greensboro. They're expected to announce plans for mass action in the spring.

The marchers spent Tuesday night in Burlington and plan to walk to both Greensboro and Kernersville before arriving Saturday in Winston-Salem.

The protests began in September as the Occupy Wall Street movement. Protesters' complaints include income inequality and the role that banks and big businesses played in the global financial crisis.
