NORTH CAROLINA (WAVY) - A planned, originally controlled wildfire at the Croatan National Forest near New Bern spread out of control on June 18.

The fire was set on Thursday, and fire officials say it could take up to a week to contain it.

As of June 18, the fire was only 10 percent contained by the US Forest Service.
