CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. (AP) - Guns used for battle reenactments across North Carolina are being tested at a Marine base to make sure they pass state regulations.
The North Carolina Division of State Historic Sites is hosting a recertification event on Wednesday at Camp Lejeune.
Division officials say shooting the guns is necessary to ensure gun operators and weapons are up to state regulations.
North Carolina has 27 sites across the state that host battle reenactments.
