Firefighters battle flames at NC motel

KILL DEVIL HILLS, N.C. - Fire crews from the Kill Devil Hills Fire Department responded to a motel fire Monday afternoon at the Mariner Motel on North Virginia dare Trial.

The fire broke out at around 3 p.m. Units from the Colington Fire Department, Nags Head Fire Rescue, Kitty Hawk Fire Department and Southern Shores Fire Department helped with extinguishing the fire.

Crews were on scene for more than two hours investigating the incident. Several of the motel's units were damaged.

The fire appears to be accidental and no one was hurt.
