Fire crews respond to NC church

NAGS HEAD, N.C. (WAVY) - Crews responded to a fire close to the Ark International Church in Nags Head Wednesday evening.

Dare County dispatch says the call came in at 8:20 p.m. to a gymnasium behind the church at 113 W. Villa Dunes Drive. Crews were still on scene shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday. The fire destroyed the recreation center.

According to the Outer Banks Voice newspaper , crews from Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, Colington, Roanoke Island, Kitty Hawk, Duck and Lower Currituck responded to the scene.
