RALEIGH, N.C. (WAVY) - The N.C. Department of Transportation's Ferry Division will miss two departures on the Cedar Island-Ocracoke route Wednesday, Feb. 8 in order for the Coast Guard to inspect the Motor Vessel Carteret.
This is a scheduled inspection that must take place in order for the vessel to continue operating, according to a news release from NCDOT.
The two departures that will not take place are the 10 a.m. run from Cedar Island to Ocracoke and the 1 p.m. run from Ocracoke to Cedar Island.
The 7:30 a.m. run from Ocracoke to Cedar Island and the 4:30 p.m. departure from Cedar Island to Ocracoke will take place.
