MOYOCK, N.C. (WAVY) - A Chesapeake man is facing multiple charges, including DWI, stemming from an arrest in Moyock, N.C.
Deputies were called to search for a suspicious man at around 10:35 a.m. Tuesday. The call came from the Hardees in Grandy were there was a report of a man acting strangely who got into a vehicle then headed north on I-158.
Deputies spotted the vehicle traveling on northbound 168 in Currituck and attempted to stop it, but the driver disregarded the lights and sirens. Deputies used stop sticks to finally disable the vehicle, in the 1700 block of Caratoke Highway in Moyock, according to Currituck County spokeswoman Lindsay Voorhees.
The driver, 44-year-old Troy Jenkins of Chesapeake, Va., was taken into custody and charged with DWI, speeding, careless and reckless driving, felony flee to elude and no operator's office.
