SALISBURY, N.C. (AP) — Salisbury will serve as the backdrop for a television pilot for a possible 20th Century Fox supernatural thriller based on "Sleepy Hollow."

The Salisbury Post reported (http://bit.ly/ZFdmyh ) several locations have been selected for filming next week.

The Rev. Whayne Hougland of St. Luke's Episcopal Church says he hopes the series will be picked up and the city can become Sleepy Hollow. Part of the pilot will be filmed at his church.

Salisbury city spokeswoman Elaney Hasselmann says if the pilot does prompt a television series, several locations in the city could become permanent backdrops.

The show will be set in the 1800s and modern times, with law enforcement agent Ichabod Crane and the villainous headless horseman traveling through time in a fight between good and evil.
