MEBANE, N.C. (AP) — Some residents at an apartment complex in Mebane are complaining about mold in the complex.

The Times-News of Burlington reported (http://bit.ly/ZanVvA ) that the residents of Mebane Mill Lofts report the mold has led to health problems.

The property developer says the problems are temporary and steps are being taken to address them.

An inspector with the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency says mold was confirmed in the complex earlier this week. Officials are trying to determine where the mold started.

Mebane Mill Lofts is a 75-unit complex that was once a yarn mill. The complex opened in January of last year.

Residents must meet income restrictions to live in the complex.

A regional property manager says dehumidifiers have been installed in 15 apartments and more may be installed.
