FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Police in Fayetteville think robbery was the motive for a shooting death in the city.
Police say 19-year-old Joshua Maultsby of Fayetteville died after he was shot behind a shopping center around 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
Investigators say Maultsby was taken by a private vehicle to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he died about an hour later.
Police spokesman Gavin MacRoberts says hospital workers notified police about the shooting.
No arrests have been made.
