WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — A Winston-Salem area man who has agreed to return to North Carolina from Nevada to face embezzlement charges will be charged with murder in the death of partner.

The Winston-Salem Journal reported (http://bit.ly/YzpOR9 ) that Steve Byron Tisdale waived extradition during a hearing in Las Vegas on Tuesday and is expected to be returned to Forsyth County within the next week.

Tisdale was released last July after being accused of taking more than $100,000 from Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

A murder warrant now accuses him of shooting and killing his partner, 52-year-old Robert Bowie Tisdale, on Jan. 30.

Robert Tisdale's mother had called deputies last week asking them to check on her son. They found his body in the home the men shared.

Steven Tisdale faces no charges in Nevada.
