MANTEO, N.C. (AP) — The outdoor drama "The Lost Colony" is coming home to look for actors.

Auditions will be held Saturday at the College of the Albemarle's Roanoke Island campus in Manteo. Auditions begin with colonist children, ages 16-17, who must be accompanied by a parent.

Interviews also will be held for technicians, dancers, actors and singers.

Auditions previously were held in Raleigh and Asheville. They're also scheduled for March 6-10 at the Southeastern Theatre Conference in Louisville, Ky.

The play's 76th season begins May 31 and continues through Aug. 23 at the Waterside Theatre in the Fort Raleigh National Historic Site on Roanoke Island. The drama will be directed this year by Ira David Wood III, who portrayed Sir Walter Raleigh in the play more than 40 years ago.
