WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) — Law enforcement officers are monitoring a commercial storage facility in New Hanover County after two explosive devices were found there and detonated.

Authorities are not saying much about the incident or if there have been any arrests.

But two devices described as being like pipe bombs were exploded Thursday and other materials taken from the storage facility were put in a containment vessel so they could be safely moved.

Officers were on the scene overnight Thursday watching the storage center for suspicious activity. The FBI is involved in the investigation.

Authorities went to the scene Thursday after they got a call from neighbors who said they heard an explosion at the storage facility.
