WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — A law professor at the University of Alabama is the keynote speaker at an event at Wake Forest University on the subject of faith, fairness and taxes.
Professor Susan Hamill is the keynote speaker at the event Monday at Benson Student Center. Event organizers say she's a nationally recognized leader on faith and fair taxation.
The event is sponsored by the N.C. Justice Center, the Wake Forest University divinity school, the Institute for Public Engagement at Wake Forest and N.C. Council of Churches. They say the event is spurred by discussions about changing the state tax code and who will be affected.
