RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — The secretary-treasurer of the national AFL-CIO is speaking in the Triangle area about why she believes unions help both businesses and workers.

Liz Shuler starts her visit by speaking Monday in Raleigh about why unions are good for business and right-to-work laws aren't. N.C. The speech is being held at the Junior League of Raleigh.

Also on Monday, Shuler speaks at Duke University's Sanford School of Public Policy about why workers' rights are good public policy.

She'll be in Chapel Hill on Tuesday, speaking at the UNC Law School about the war on working people in North Carolina and elsewhere.
