CURRITUCK COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) - A North Carolina 5-year-old boy likely saved his diabetic mother's life when he called 9-1-1 after she passed out.

Here is a partial transcription of the call:

Dispatcher: "Currituck 9-1-1. What's the address to the emergency?"

Boy: "Um..."

Dispatcher: "Hello? Can you hear me?"

Boy: "Yeah, I can hear you."

Dispatcher: "Can you hear me?"

Boy's father: "Hello"

Dispatcher: "Hi this is the Currituck 911 center."

Boy's father: "Hey yeah, that was my son. My wife's got diabetes and she's been passed out for a while."

Listen to the full version call:

Five-year-old Buck Bailey called 9-1-1 when he saw his mom, Laurie, was in trouble. Her husband soon took over the call.

He managed to get medics to the house where they were able to help her recover.
