OCRACOKE, N.C. - The sole survivor of the fireworks accident that killed four people on July 4, is speaking out following the accident.

27-year-old Martez Holland suffered third degree burns in Saturday's explosion in Ocracoke, N.C. He described the moments before the explosion, "I was getting ready to put them together, like put a fuse together, and by the time that happened, the only thing I heard was a big spark, a big boom."

Holland and four other workers unloaded fireworks from a truck when it blew up. Terry Holland, Mark Hill, Lisa Simmons, and Charles Kirkland Junior were killed in the blast. All worked for South Carolina-based Melrose South Pyrotechnics.

Investigators haven't released a cause, but say it was an accident.
