82nd Airborne Cdr. to hold video update

FORT BRAGG, N.C. (AP) - The commanding general of the 82nd Airborne Division and of a task force in Afghanistan plans a news conference by video link to discuss his paratroopers' activities.

Maj. Gen. Curtis M. Scaparrotti has called a video teleconference for Saturday morning at the division's home base of Fort Bragg. Scaparrotti also is commander of Combined Joint Task Force-82 and Regional Command-East.

The 82nd's headquarters replaced the 101st Airborne Division headquarters last month in Afghanistan.
