Technology bringing family together

NORFOLK, Va. - The USS Theodore Roosevelt left Norfolk on September 8th for a six to seven month deployment to the middle east.

Tuesday, the crew is far from home, but close at heart thanks to technology. The video tele-conferencing center in Norfolk is helping families stay in touch with their loved ones on deployment this holiday season.

The Navy's been putting local families in touch with loved ones overseas through video conferencing for the past eight years.
