FORT BRAGG, N.C. (AP) - An Army special operations battalion is holding a predeployment fair so families of soldiers who will be leaving for duty can prepare for their absence.
The 96th Civil Affairs Battalion plans a fair Monday at Fort Bragg to show appreciation to the families as well as educate them about such things as safety and car care.
The "Slice of Summer" event includes lunch, a puppet show, a children's museum and entertainment by a magician for children.
