PORTSMOUTH, Va. - The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Bear returned to Portsmouth Wednesday after a two month long counter-drug patrol deployment in the Caribbean Sea.
According to the Coast Guard, the Cutter voyaged to South America and helped stop the flow of illegal drugs to the U.S., as well as various counter-drug patrols working hand in hand with the US Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security and Western Hemisphere and European partner nation agencies.
The crew of the Cutter Tahoma took control of the Bear while the Tahoma is in planned maintenance.
