VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Virginia Beach has officially endorsed the "Honor and Remember Flag" unveiled last year on Memorial Day by George Lutz. Lutz designed the flag after his son Tony Lutz, an Army Corporal who was killed in Iraq.
Virginia Beach is the third city to endorse the flag, which recognizes military service men and women who lost their lives while serving our country. Chesapeake and Norfolk have also endorsed the flag.
"Several other interested cities are in the works," Lutz told WAVY.com. "Our historic campaign continues to build as this grass roots awareness resonates throughout the country."
Right now, there is not a nationally recognized flag for service men and women who lose their lives in combat. But their loved ones are consistently joining the Honor and Remember movement . And you can too, click HERE to join the movement. Let's all band together and pay tribute to those who've paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
