Officer-involved crash in Suffolk

Suffolk, Va. - Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that involved a police officer's car.

A police spokesperson said the accident happened just after midnight Saturday on College Drive and Route 164.

The officer's vehicle crashed with another car. The driver of the other vehicle, Aric Dickens, 19, of Suffolk, was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was released later in the day, police said.

The officer was not hurt.

The crash remains under investigation.
