NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk police responded to the scene of a deadly motorcycle accident at the intersection of 17th Bay Street and East Ocean View Ave., at around 6 p.m. Friday.
Police say a vehicle traveling eastbound was making a left-hand turn when the motorcyclist was hit. Christopher M. Gallagher, 33 was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
According to police, speed, on the motorcyclist's part, was a factor in the accident.
No word yet on whether or not charges will be filed.
