Naval Station gate 3 closing

NORFOLK, Va. - Next week, Norfolk Naval Station will close one of it's gates permanently.

Gate 3 on Bellinger Bouleveard will close at 8 a-m next Wednesday but Gate 3A will remain open.

Studies showed the gate had the lowest number of traffic of the station's nine gates.

Hours will also change for the upcoming holidays:

Gate 2
Closed Nov. 28, Dec. 26 and Jan 2.
Dec. 19 - Jan. 5
Open inbound from 5 a.m. - 8 a.m.
Open inbound and outbound from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Gate 3
Closed beginning Nov. 26

Gate 6
Closed Nov. 28 and Dec. 19 - Jan. 5

Gate 10
Closed Nov. 28 and Dec. 19 - Jan. 5

Gate 22
Dec. 19 - Jan. 5
Open inbound and outbound from 5 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
