Students participate in tornado drill

Students at Charles Elementary School in Newport News participated in the March 17 statewide tornado drill.

They moved through the hallways in an orderly fashion to simulate what should happen during a real tornado warning.

The City's Emergency Management Coordinator stopped by and gave them high marks for their performance.
