Man attacked, robbed in VB parking lot

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Virginia Beach Police are looking for the man they say is responsible for attacking and robbing another man near Kempsriver Shopping Center.

The incident happened in the 1300 block of Kempsville Road at around 6:20 p.m. Sunday. Police say a white male came behind the victim as he was getting into his car. The suspect hit the victim repeatedly and demanded money. The victim was able to escape and ran to the back of the shopping center where he told store employees to call 911.

Police say the suspect stole money from the victim's car.

A bystander came to the victim's aid and chased the suspect toward a nearby Pizza Hut and KFC. That's when police say the suspect got into a silver Mitsubishi Eclipse with a black male driver.
