SUFFOLK, Va. - Seven members of the Suffolk Fire Department are moving up.
They attained higher ranks, including one Battalion Chief,
three Captains, and three Lieutenants.
WAVY.com had a camera there as the Chief honored the group
with a promotional ceremony Thursday.
Those being promoted include:
Captain Andre' L. Durham will be promoted to
Battalion Chief. Battalion Chief Durham has been a member of
Suffolk Fire & Rescue for 16.5 years.
Lieutenant James N. Dickens will be promoted to
Captain. Captain Dickens has been a member of Suffolk Fire &
Rescue for 10.5 years. Captain Dickens will be in charge of the
Department's Fire Prevention Bureau.
Lieutenant William T. Kessenger will be promoted
to Captain. Captain Kessenger has been a member of Suffolk Fire
& Rescue for 10 years.
Lieutenant James A. Broglin will be promoted to
Captain. Captain Broglin has been a member of Suffolk Fire &
Rescue for 10 years.
Firefighter Shawn R. Felts will be promoted to
Lieutenant. Lieutenant Felts has been a member of Suffolk Fire
& Rescue for 8.5 years.
Firefighter Nate Boyd will be promoted to
Lieutenant. Lieutenant Boyd has been a member of Suffolk Fire &
Rescue for 6.5 years.
Firefighter Raphael E. Brown will be promoted to
Lieutenant. Lieutenant Brown has been a member of Suffolk Fire
& Rescue for 11.5 years.
