ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) - Isle of Wight County officials are looking into what caused a woman to destroy $800 worth of stuff at a local hotel room.

Sheriff Phelps with the Isle of Wight County Sheriff's Office told WAVY.com the woman left debris everywhere before leaving her hotel room at the America's Best Value Inn on Carrsville Hwy. in Franklin on February 27. She destroyed furniture, the bed and other items in the hotel room, Phelps said.

Wilmar Cleo Hudson is being held responsible for the damage, considering she was the last person registered to the room, according to Phelps.

After seeing her picture on the news, Ms. Hudson turned herself into police and is now being held at the Western Tidewater Regional Jail.

Hudson has been charged with destruction of private property.
