CURRITUCK COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) - Officials say they are investigating a possible case of West Nile Virus in Currituck County.

Albermarle Regional Health Services say they are aware of the case and are currently working with the State Departments in Virginia and North Carolina to confirm the presence of the case.

ARHS says the best way to avoid West Nile is preventing mosquito bites and tipping standing water from natural reservoirs to prevent mosquito presence.
