VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Virginia Beach police arrested a woman after she slammed her car into a home and flipped over in the 400 block of Baker Road early Sunday morning. Police tell WAVY.com the female driver, identified as 23-year-old Christina Kreitzer was driving under the influence.
The homeowner, Jose Morales, said his two young children slept in the room above the crash, but are fine. He said his cousin was thrown from the couch he was sleeping on when the SUV crashed through the wall. He was able to walk away with only scratches.
While the homeowner said it could have been worse, he is extremely upset with the Kreitzer.
"From what the police were saying, she was drunk and she went airborne, and bounced off the house and landed in the living room, but she's alright," Morales said.
Kreitzer is charged with driving under the influence.
