VSP responds to 54 crashes in HRVA

HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WAVY) - Virginia State Police responded to nearly 300 calls for service and 54 traffic crashes in less than 24 hours.

According to a news release from State Police, deputies responded to 54 disabled vehicle calls in Hampton Roads between Thursday afternoon and Friday morning.

In comparison, deputies responded to 103 traffic crashes in Charlottesville and 186 in the Wytheville area of the state.
