VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A Virginia Beach woman found her neighbor's pit bull mixes attacking her schnauzer. The attack began outside and moved into her living room.
Security cameras outside Karen Grumm's home captured the vicious attack. It happened on Arthur Avenue Saturday.
"All of a sudden I hear this horrific screaming and pain from Ally and I said oh my God something is wrong with Ally," said Grumm.
The pit bull mixes left Ally's blood all over. Grumm called 911.
"The vet said the thing that saved her was the fire department put a pressure dressing on there," she said.
"Her muscle was torn, the skin was torn, her jugular vein was completely severed and hanging by a thread," she continued.
After the attack, Grumm's neighbor voluntarily released all four pit bull mixes to Animal Control.
Grumm's neighbor is not facing criminal charges because she voluntarily released her dogs. She is facing a court order preventing her from owning more animals.
