YORK COUNTY, Va. - York County officials are looking to locate a vehicle they say was stolen in the 100 blk. of Resolution Drive. According to officials, the suspect stole one vehicle, then swapped it for another Sunday night.

A York County deputy located the first stolen vehicle, but as he attempted to stop it in the area of Grafton Station apartments on Pramble Lane, the driver sped up and headed to a back wooded area of the complex.

York County officials say the suspect continued through the wooded area before getting out of the vehicle and fleeing on foot. Officials say the suspect then stole another vehicle that had been left running and unattended in the 100 blk. of Resolution Drive.

The suspect, nor the vehicle have been seen since.

The vehicle the suspect is accused of stealing is a 2006, tan Dodge Durango SUV with Illinois tags: G480716.

If you've seen this vehicle you're asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
