VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Sometime between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Virginia Beach Animal Control officers say a puppy was left in a dumpster to die.
Officers say the dog was discovered yelping in a dumpster behind the Food Lion Grocery Store in the 3200 blk. of Holland Road. Animal Control officers transported the puppy to an emergency veterinarian where it later died.
Animal Control officers are urging anyone with information regarding the puppy to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Remember, callers remain anonymous and could earn a cash reward of up to $1,000 if their information leads to his arrest.
