NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk fire crews were greeted to heavy smoke and flames coming from a vacant home in the 2500 blk. of Tidewater Drive overnight.

Fire crews were dispatched at 2:03 a.m. and were on the scene just two minutes later at 2:05 a.m, according to Battalion Chief Todd Cannon.

After a quick search of the dwelling, it was found to be vacant. Chief Cannon says there may have been some homeless people living in the home, however, no one was inside at the time of the fire.
