VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A warrant sweep led by the Virginia Beach Police Department led to 75 people arrested and more than 100 outstanding warrants served.
The multi-jurisdictional operation, dubbed "Locktoberfest", was conducted Oct. 24-25.
The partnership included members of the Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office, the Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office, the Chesapeake Police Department, the Virginia State Police, the Norfolk Police Department, the Portsmouth Police Department, the Newport News Police Department, the U.S. Marshals Service and the Virginia Beach Probation and Parole Office.
Additional arrests are anticipated, according to police spokesman MPO Jimmy Barnes.
