Santa's Animals event held in VB

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - In the season of giving, how about giving some love to a new furry friend? The Virginia Beach Animal Control shelter hosted a Santa's Animals event this past weekend.
Folks brought their pet in for a picture and to mingle with the shelter's four-legged residents.
Besides reindeer, even Santa has rescue animals at his home.
"I'm a big animal lover myself. I have five dogs of my own, they're all rescue animals. I rescue exotic birds also. It's very important that they do find good homes and lifetime homes."
Besides bringing home a new pet, many folks signed up to volunteer, something shelter staff say they need most.
