Va. Beach bicyclist found dead in NC

Death investigation ongoing

PASQUOTANK COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) - The Pasquotank County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation into the death of a Virginia Beach bicyclist is ongoing. The body of Joseph Edward Findeisen was found on Feb. 3 in the 1500 block of Turnpike Road in the northern part of the county.

A preliminary report from the Medical Examiner deems the cause as accidental drowning. The Sheriff's Office is still awaiting the results of the toxicology report.

Findeisen, 52, lived in the 1100 block of Indian Road.
