VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Tuesday’s wet weather caused a tree to fall on a house in Virginia Beach, condemning it.
Tim Riley with the Virginia Beach Fire Department told WAVY.com the incident occurred in the 32000 block of Brookbridge Road around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday. Heavy rains from Tuesday evening saturated the ground and caused the tree to fall over onto the master bedroom.
The homeowners were home and asleep at the time. Riley said the home was condemned due to the structural damage.
No one was injured.
