VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A group of teens is hoping some internet sleuthing will help them find a killer.

The group of students from Norfolk Academy started "Justice for Shellie" this summer. They're working to solve the murder of 18-year-old Shellie Carson.

Carson was beaten to death in her Kings Grant neighborhood in 2005. So far, police haven't made any arrests or named a suspect.

The group's most recent effort involves teaming up with true crime discussion forum Websleuths.com .

"Justice for Shellie" says the younger generation is more likely to turn to social networking and that could contain clues to Carson's murder.

The group has also set up a website , along with Facebook , Twitter and e-mail accounts. They also put a billboard up on Virginia Beach Boulevard .
