VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - The suspected shooter in a robbery at the Luk Oil gas station in Virginia Beach was arrested Saturday after being on the loose since September.

Virginia Beach Detectives and Norfolk Investigators worked together to catch 19-year-old Raymond Lewis Perry, of Norfolk, who is charged in Virginia Beach with two counts of armed robbery, malicious wounding, three counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, wearing a mask, and two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony, according to a release from the Virginia Beach Police Department.

Perry is currently being held in the Norfolk city jail.

On September 21 around 10:20 p.m., police were called to a robbery and shooting that occurred on Green Meadows Drive at the Luk Oil Gas Station.

The clerk was working behind the counter when a masked suspect entered the store. Police said the suspect displayed a gun and demanded money. The suspect then shot the clerk and stole his wallet.

Two suspects were taken into custody on September 23. The first was 36-year-old Wade Anderson Watford, of Virginia Beach, and the second was a 17-year-old male.

Police said the three suspects are also charged with three other robberies in September, two at 7-11's and one at Sal's Pizza on Independence Boulevard.

These cases remain under investigation by the Virginia Beach Police Department's Robbery Squad. The FBI and U.S. Marshals Service are also assisting with this investigation.
